Parents & Families
For more than 100 years, Tri Delta has been providing a home away from home for our members and a place for them to live out our values of truth, self-sacrifice and friendship each day.
We welcome parents and family members, of both our newest Tri Deltas and interested collegiate women, to get a glimpse into membership in Tri Delta. The publication below lets you follow along and see “what to expect” from the Tri Delta sorority experience today and beyond. You will learn about our transformational collegiate chapter programming, leadership opportunities, our passion for serving others through philanthropy and ways you can connect and engage with your Tri Delta during their membership.
Chapter Families
"Family" goes beyond our sisterhood within Phi Phi, Tri Delta, and Delta State University! We recognize that our members are not alone in their educational journey and have many friends and family members who support them. A few ways we are intentional about creating a family atmosphere for our members to thrive include education and events.First, we want to ensure that all new members understand the financial obligations and time commitments associated with Greek Life membership. Preparing for recruitment is one way we ensure potential new members are aware of the potential costs associated with membership. During recruitment, our chapter dedicates time to reviewing all financial obligations and discussing the perks members receive with their membership dues. We also discuss the required membership events, such as philanthropy and recruitment, as well as overall academic and campus calendar events that members can look forward to!Second, we host several sisterhood events to celebrate our membership in Tri Delta - some include ritual events that bind us to Delta Delta Delta (or Tri Delta) and our history that began in Boston, Massachusetts, in 1888. While ritual events are closed to Tri Delta members, we like to celebrate our members' families by hosting an annual Parents' Weekend during the Statesmen Football season (fall) and by highlighting the ways our parents and guardians have guided us to become the young women leaders we are becoming! We know that Greek Life membership can be viewed negatively in today's social media environment. However, our Phi Phi Chapter at Delta State fosters a safe environment where all members can live, learn, and lead - with purpose! Parents, guardians, and families, we hope you will stay connected with us on Instagram, Facebook, and X to learn more about our chapter and how you can continue to support your Tri Delta family member!
